Dr. Eve M. Hall joined local non-profit and political leaders to provide insight on Milwaukee’s urban growth and development as part of a live, statewide radio broadcast on Monday, September 30, 2019 at the Northern Lights Theater at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino.
WTMJ 2020 – a live broadcast of WTMJ-AM – was a daylong look at a variety of topics important to Milwaukee and Wisconsin, including transportation, education, politics, sports, and public safety. During the “Urban Hour”, panelists discussed topics such as vacant sites, downtown rejuvenation vs. urban decay, transportation, education, and more. Other participants on the urban growth and development panel included Milwaukee Aldermen Cavalier Johnson and Michael Murphy, as well as Keith Stanley, Executive Director of Near Westside Partners, Inc.
The Milwaukee Urban League, founded in 1919, works to empower communities and change lives through a series of workforce development and education programs designed to create economic vibrancy in Milwaukee’s African-American community.
