HISTORY
Founded in September 1998, the Milwaukee Urban League Young Professionals (MULYP) the oldest young professional organization in the City of Milwaukee is an auxiliary arm of the Milwaukee Urban League that assists the organization and staff through volunteerism, philanthropy, membership development, and program support. Through its committees, MULYP sponsors a variety of community service projects, fundraising activities, social and cultural events, leadership development workshops, and educational and political forums. Membership in MULYP provides individuals the opportunity to develop themselves professionally by creating a network of support among peers. Since 1998, MULYP's membership has grown significantly and the organization has increased its visibility, and received numerous recognition and awards both locally and nationally.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
MULYP has been a significant contributor to the Milwaukee community and has conducted the following community projects:

COMMUNITY IMPACT
MULYP members have contributed over 40,000 hours of community service hours to the Greater Milwaukee Community through events including but not limited to:

A candidate forum for those running for Milwaukee School Board was held before the spring elections during a MULYP general body meeting.

A Financial Literacy Jeopardy game was held as part of the National Urban League’s National Day of Service.

Participating in activities bringing awareness to causes such as Easter Seals, United Negro College Fund, The American Heart Association, Walk for Quality of Life, and Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.

A collaboration with Milwaukee Urban League Guild members to host a polling site for elections.
